Everything’s Glacial Shine
Everything’s Glacial Shine is the culmination of a seven-year creative arc — an improvised album recorded in 2021 and now unfolding as a 13-part sonic poem. Recorded with world-renowned Jazz bassist Anthony Cox (Pat Metheny, Joe Lovano, Geri Allen), rootsy and emotive guitarist Toni Lindgren (Reina del Cid, Lissie), berimbau proponent and percussionist Gregory Beyer (Arcomusical, Third Coast Percussion), creative and sensitive woodwind/sax player Nelson Devereaux (Miley Cyrus, Bon Iver), and skilled multi-instrumentalist Andres Crovetti (Cabeza de Chivo). Inspired by a line from Ross Gay’s Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, the album explores nostalgia and transformation through evolving soundscapes that blur the line between composition and intuition — tracing the quiet shimmer of memory and the tender intimacy between friends, lovers, and the spontaneous spirit of improvisation.
Beginning October 4, 2025, a new track will be released every Friday for 13 weeks, leading to the full album release on Dec 26, 2025, carrying listeners through the end of the year. The album is the culmination of a seven-year creative unfolding — an improvised album recorded in 2021 and now maturing as a 13-part sonic poem. Each track title forms a line in an original poem, inviting you to experience the album as both a musical and literary unfolding. With a title inspired by a line from Ross Gay’s Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude, the album explores nostalgia, transformation, memory, and gratitude through evolving works that blur the line between composition and intuition.
